Away from rhyme

Every note hung,
Up and down a string.
Melodious.
Perfect.
One word agreeing with another.
To the world's ears music.

Here I stand.
Unstrung, unsung.
Complete in my discord.
Moving silently through every note.
From the baby's lullaby,
Into the leaves in sophomore of the spring.
From the rusted, old temple bell,
Into the morning rain, rattling window panes clean.
Making sure I'm not strung perfectly,
Made into a Tra-la-la.

I'm a note not yet made,
I shall never pigeon hole be.
Away from rhyme,
I beat an unusual euphony!

  1. Beautiful deviation from your normal literary spurts....loved the rebellious spirit in this and yet the cohesive pride that trickles out of every line!

sometimes the most random sounds make an unforgettable melody....luvd this one! tc! :)

  3. "Making sure I'm not strung perfectly/Made into a Tra-la-la", reminds me of Hamlet's words to Guildenstern:

'Sblood, do you think I am
easier to be played on than a pipe? Call me what
instrument you will, though you can fret me, yet you
    cannot play upon me.

This attempt 'away from rhyme' is even better with the 'unusual euphony'.

    Keep writing.
